Trump: The ultimate destiny's child

A few days ago, a quarter of an inch to the right, and we would’ve seen Donald Trump’s head splattered across the stage like how it happened with Marvin in Pulp Fiction.

But life had other plans...

Reminds me of perhaps the most profound quote I’ve ever read. It’s by Woody Allen Sir:

The man who said "I'd rather be lucky than good" saw deeply into life. People are afraid to face how great a part of life is dependent on luck. It's scary to think so much is out of one's control. There are moments in a match when the ball hits the top of the net, and for a split second, it can either go forward or fall back. With a little luck, it goes forward, and you win. Or maybe it doesn't, and you lose.

So true! So, so true! While it obviously doesn’t mean there’s any replacement for hard work, but still, the man who said “I’d rather be lucky than good” saw deeply into life indeed.

Trump is the ultimate destiny's child. Born in a rich family as a genetic freak. Good looking, healthy, hedonist, great career, an unlikely political success of unbelievable proportions, a big loser, almost killed, and then the most glorious comeback kid of all time. How did all that come to be? I don't know.

This life is a beautiful mystery which is meant to be enjoyed, not understood. But there is something which can be understood quite easily. It's this:

Today, Trump won.
